The Ministry of Economy of Poland organized a study tour for Croatian entrepreneurs to the Subcarpathian Voivodeship (Poland) in order to promote trade cooperation among Polish and Croatian companies related to furniture sector. Six interested furniture producers, traders and representatives of the leading sectoral clusters, the Vukovar-Srijem County Wood Cluster and the Croatian Wood Cluster, attended this tour.

During the six-day study tour, Croatian entrepreneurs visited three Polish furniture producer companies and participated in B2B meetings with more than twenty Polish entrepreneurs. Also, they had the opportunity to become familiar with the activities of the special economic zone EURO-PARK MIELEC during a visit to their headquarters. Apart from business collaboration and networking, participants took part in interesting cultural events and enjoyed Polish cuisine.

We have participated in several working visits of representatives of the Croatian wood sector to Poland in recent years. Our county has an agreement with the Greater Poland Voivodeship, so we visited the furniture fair in Poznan. We organized individual B2B meetings, in order to discuss concrete forms of cooperation, and we presented investment opportunities in the Croatian wood industry, third markets and other forms of business cooperation. Poland is one of the most powerful countries in the world regarding the wood sector and is successful in the use of EU funds, which is also interesting for us.
