Education Through Competitions

During the fair AMBIENTA 2014 (October 15 to 19), which was organized in the pavilions of Zagrebacki velesajam, the contest of the floor layers was organized for the 6th time. The event is traditionally held in order to promote greater use of wood floors and profession of floor layers.

The aim is to awake the interest of the younger generation to consider the craft jobs and to continue a long tradition of floor layers that Croatia nourishes.

The Association promotes greater use of wood flooring and affirmation of this profession. Also, one of our main objectives is to improve cooperation between the layer, parquet flooring producers and retailers, in order to build in as much parquet in the residential and public spaces in Croatia. For this reason, in the above competition we included vocational schools that organized competition and presentation of skills of their students – future parquet floor layers on AMBIENTA fair.
